Sorry to be gone for so long. My mom went into emergency surgery on Monday and I had to take most of this week off. This is just one of the many benefits of working for yourself. If an emergency arises, you can take care of it then return to your business.
Here are a few tips for keeping your business afloat while you take necessary time away:
-Communicate with your clients right away. Let them know you won't be around and when you'll be returning.
- Create a separate email for clients only. I learned my email box fills up quickly with spam if I'm away for a few days. That means valuable client can't get in touch. Give clients multiple ways to keep in touch.
- Have a game plan. You will still need to complete work when you return so make lists and develop an effective game plan to get everything accomplished.
- Plan for a week of poverty. Remember, if you're not working, you're not earning unless you've established sources of residual income (more about that in later posts).
- Outsource your work. Get people to handle projects in your absence. More about these resources in future posts, too.
Thankfully, my mom is back home and recovering which means I'm back to business. Now I'm ready to share some more money-making opps - and get back to the affiliate marketing series!
